With world-class innovation, diversified patented printing techniques, a comprehensive range of service as well as fine, artisanal craftsmanship, TBSP is now in full gear for international markets. Mr. Bunn Kasemsap, Managing Director, Thai British Security Printing Public Company Limited (TBSP) in SCG Paper, revealed that “we strive to develop our own stamp printing technologies by applying various printing techniques and invent new patented techniques in stamp manufacturing which have been widely recognized in international markets. With all these, we are ready to achieve the status of world class stamp manufacturer with extensive experience and expertise, while offering dedicated service and competitive price.” “As domestic political unrest in the second quarter caused a wide impact on business, we need to adjust our business strategy in accordance with the shrinking market. While focus has been put on reforming working operations for improved efficiency, cutting unnecessary costs, we never compromise on product and service quality as well as human resource development for better competitiveness.” As part of its constant business expansion plan, TBSP would continue to grow its stamp business by taking advantage of the enormous potential of international markets with aim to become the world’s top five largest stamp manufacturers by 2015. In achieving the goal, TBSP capitalizes on its innovativeness and fine, artisanal craftsmanship of Thai workforce that is recognized worldwide. Hot foil stamp, seed stamp, as well as the mixing of color and fragrance in stamp ink are some examples of task that need extensive human involvement, as they require the degree of precision that can not be achieved by machine. TBSP’s latest patented innovation is Philaglio, a printmaking technique similar to Intaglio, in which the image is incised into a surface. Philaglio offers fine image formed by line and dot, precise control of ink intensity and high printing quality identical to Intaglio printing combined with reasonable price and TBSP’s special technique. TBSP’s printing system is in process of certification by CWA/UPU/Intergraf, a representative body of 23 national printing federations in 20 countries in Europe. The certification helps TBSP gain recognition and confidence among customers in international markets and strengthen its competitive edge in the global arena.
