ตามที่ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์เครื่องบินตกที่จังหวัด South Kordofan ทางตอนใต้ของซูดาน ระหว่างการเดินทางไปร่วมงานฉลองวัน Eid al-Fitr เมื่อวันที่ ๑๙ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๕ ทำให้นาย Ghazi al Sadiq Abdurrahim รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวง Guidance and Endowments (กิจการศาสนา) นาย Mahjoub Abdul Rahim Tutu Kuna รัฐมนตรีว่าการแห่งรัฐประจำกระทรวงเยาวชนและกีฬา และนาย Issa Daifallah Abdel-Razek รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยว โบราณสถาน และสัตว์ป่า พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการ สื่อมวลชนและลูกเรือ ของซูดาน จำนวนทั้งหมด ๓๒ คน เสียชีวิต ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์ ดังกล่าว ดังนี้
๑. ข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจจากนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงประธานาธิบดีซูดาน

I am deeply shocked and saddened by the plane crash in South Kordofan, on 19 August 2012, which claimed the lives of H.E. Mr. Ghazi al Sadiq Abdurrahim, Minister of Guidance and Endowments, H.E. Mr. Mahjoub Abdul Rahim Tutu Kuna, State Minister at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, H.E. Mr. Issa Daifallah Abdel-Razek, State Minister at the Ministry of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife, together with 29 other passengers and crew.
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the Thai people, and on my own behalf, I wish to extend to you, and through you, to the bereaved families of those who have lost their lives, my sincere sympathies and condolences. I join your nation in mourning in this time of sorrow.
