นายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนางออง ซาน ซูจี ในโอกาสที่ได้รับการแต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่งรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ รัฐมนตรีประจำสำนักประธานาธิบดี รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงไฟฟ้าและพลังงาน และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ดังนี้

Excellency,

I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency my sincerest congratulations on your appointment as Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, Union Minister of President Office, Union Minister for Electric Power and Energy and Union Minister for Education of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Your party’s landslide victory in the general elections on 8 November 2015 is a testimony of trust and confidence in Your Excellency as well as in your unwavering stand towards democracy. I am confident that with Your Excellency at the helm, Myanmar will play a very strong and constructive role at bilateral, regional and global levels for sustainable peace and development as well as for the well-being and prosperity of Myanmar people.

On this occasion, I wish to extend to Your Excellency a cordial invitation to pay an official visit to Thailand in the capacity of Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar at the earliest opportunity. I hope to work closely with Your Excellency and your government to further deepen our ties and widen our cooperation for the mutual benefits of our two countries and peoples.
