เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ ๗๐ ปี ฟุลไบรท์ประเทศไทย ๑ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๓ นายวิชาวัฒน์ อิศรภักดี ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และประธานคณะกรรมการมูลนิธิการศึกษาไทย-อเมริกัน และนายไมเคิล จอร์จ ดีซอมบรี เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย และประธานกิตติมศักดิ์มูลนิธิการศึกษาไทย-อเมริกัน ได้ร่วมกันมีข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าว
On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Fulbright Program in Thailand, we extend sincere congratulations to the Fulbright Thailand Program along with all Fulbright Thailand alumni and current students, both in Thailand and the United States, on this important milestone in Thai-U.S. binational collaboration on educational and research exchange.
Founded on 1 July 1950 in line with the vision of Senator J. William Fulbright to promote goodwill and people-to-people understanding, the Fulbright Thailand Program has given opportunities to over 3,000 outstanding Thai and American scholars to not only study, teach, conduct research, exchange ideas, and contribute to finding solutions to benefit the global community, but also to connect and forge lasting bonds of friendship. Fulbright Thailand alumni take pride in their continuing contributions to Thai and American societies and to enhancing the close ties between the two countries.
Through year-long anniversary activities, we also celebrate the vitality of the strong and thriving Thai-U.S. relations, underpinned by shared interests and values. We are confident that the fostering of mutual understanding through the Fulbright Thailand Program will further strengthen the close ties and cooperation between the Kingdom of Thailand and the United States of America for decades to come.
