นายนิตย์ พิบูลย์สงคราม รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารถึงนาย Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศบังคลาเทศ เพื่อแสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์การเกิดอุทกภัยในบังคลาเทศ ดังนี้
Excellency,
I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives and destruction caused by the devastating flood, especially in the Northwestern part of Bangladesh.
In this moment of grief, I wish to convey, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, our heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to the bereaved families and the affected people of Bangladesh. I hope that the Government and the people of Bangladesh will soon be able to overcome this tragedy and I wish you every success in the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts of the affected areas.
