ด้วยวันที่ ๙ ธันวาคม เป็นวันประกาศเอกราชสหสาธารณรัฐแทนซาเนีย นั้น พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงประธานาธิบดีสหสาธารณรัฐแทนซาเนีย และพลเอก ธนะศักดิ์ ปฏิมาประกร รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสหสาธารณรัฐแทนซาเนีย ดังนี้
