This conference is an activity of the Regional Cooperation Platform on Vocational Teacher’s Training and Education in Asia (RCP) involving collaboration with vocational teacher education (VTE) institutions in 6 countries including Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and China with an aim to improve the quality of vocational teachers at the institutional levels. The Deutsche Gesellschaft f?r Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH commenced operations at the beginning of 2011. The organisation brings together the long-standing expertise of the Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst (DED) gGmbH (German Development Service), the Deutsche Gesellschaft f?r Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH (German Technical Cooperation) and InWEnt — Capacity Building International, Germany. German International Cooperation (GIZ) is fully owned by the German Federal Government. Looking back on 55 years of Thai-German Technical Cooperation, GIZ continues to support the German Government in achieving its objectives in international cooperation with Thailand promoting sustainable development.
