Bangkok--27 May--PR SOLUTION True Corporation has been named Thailand’s most innovative company, and among the nation’s 10-most admired, by The Wall Street Journal Asia. True, said the Journal, “is among Thailand’s most-visible brand names and is rapidly emerging as one of Asia’s leading high-tech companies…..a smart re-branding campaign and a focus on cutting-edge technologies in recent years have helped set the company apart.” The newspaper also cited Thailand’s growing sophistication overall as an Asian telecommunications hub. It noted that “True’s No. 1 ranking in the innovation category underscores what smart management can achieve in Asia through savvy marketing and a willingness to invest heavily” and that True’s mobile phone business was gaining ground on its larger rivals “and building a reputation among younger Thais as technologically sophisticated.” This is the second consecutive year that True has been named “most innovative company” by the Journal. Around 2,500 executives across Asia and the Pacific who read The Wall Street Journal Asia participated in the latest survey. They were asked to rate companies on five attributes: innovativeness in responding to customer needs; corporate reputation; management’s long-term vision; quality of products and services; and financial reputation.
