Bangkok--18 Jul--Aziam Burson-Marsteller Australia’s low fares airline Jetstar has today launched an Extra Leg Room* upgrade option that allows JetSaver Light and JetSaver passengers to further customise their travel experience. From today, JetSaver Light and JetSaver passengers can purchase more space to stretch their legs by requesting an Extra Leg Room* seat upgrade for THB1,860 on any one-way international flight to Australia#. JetFlex passengers continue to have access to selected seats, some with extra leg room, inclusive in their fare. For passengers travelling on Jetstar’s A320/ A321 aircraft on domestic and short haul international services, an Extra Leg Room* seat has a seat pitch of 38 inches, offering 20 per cent more seat pitch compared to a regular economy seat. For passengers travelling on Jetstar’s A330 aircraft on international long haul flights, Extra Leg Room* seats have a seat pitch of 45 inches, offering 35 per cent more seat pitch compared to a regular economy seat. Group General Manager Commercial Bruce Buchanan said the introduction of Extra Leg Room* seating was an extension of Jetstar’s ‘Choices Model’, providing passengers with the opportunity to choose what they value most when flying. “Earlier this year, we successfully launched our JetSaver Light fare, which gave passengers the choice to choose a lower fare by traveling without check-in baggage. About 20 per cent of our total passengers now choose to fly on JetSaver Light,” Mr Buchanan said. “We believe our Extra Leg Room upgrade promises similar popularity amongst our passengers who are seeking choice, low fares and an enjoyable travel experience. “Jetstar’s Extra Leg Room* seating upgrade means passengers can choose to pre-book a seat with the added benefits of extra comfort and access,” he said. Passengers can easily select an Extra Leg Room seat positioned in an exit row by choosing to upgrade their seat at Jetstar.com, through Jetstar’s Telephone Reservation Centre in Thailand at 02-267-5125, or at the Jetstar check-in counter at the airport. It can be either booked at time of fare purchase, or prior to check- in. # Extra Leg Room is not available on flights from Japan. Some other flights are also excluded from the Extra Leg Room upgrade option. *Extra Leg Room Important Information Passengers who choose an Extra Leg Room seat must confirm that they meet the requirements to be seated in an exit row seat prior to booking. Jetstar has the sole discretion at check-in, or boarding, to determine whether a passenger meets the requirements to sit in an exit row seat. Extra Leg Room seats are not transferable and not refundable. If the passenger doesn’t meet the requirements, the passenger will be assigned a regular economy seat and will not receive a refund for the additional amount paid to sit in an Extra Legroom Seat.
