Bangkok--22 Sep--Thai Airways Thai Airways International Public Company Limited plans to offer 1.5-year, 3-year and 5-year debentures to both institutional and retail investors from September 24 to October 1, 2008. THAI revealed that it will offer 1.5-year, 3-year and 5-year debentures totaling up to Baht 7,000 million. The coupon will be paid semi-annually at the rate of 4.77% p.a., 5.05% p.a., and 5.50% p.a. for 1.5-year, 3-year, and 5-year debentures, respectively. These debentures have par value of Baht 1,000 per unit and are offered at a minimum of Baht 100,000 with incremental of Baht 10,000. The purpose is to refinance existing debt and to purchase aircraft, which are due under lease agreements. Bank of Ayudhaya PCL, TMB Bank PCL, BankThai PCL, BT Securities Co., Ltd., Tisco Securities Co., Ltd, and Thanachart Securities PCL are mandated as underwriters for these debentures.
