Bangkok--12 Dec--Betagro Corporate Betagro Group, one of the country’s leading integrated agro-industry businesses, today organised “1st Betagro Meeting 2008” to mark the 41st anniversary of its successful animal feed business. Dubbed “Betagro Grows to The Future,” the event featured a variety of activities including the “Betagro ... The Story & The Family” exhibition and a lecture on feng shui for a more prosperous year in 2009 by Master Chontad Ruethaipong. We have implemented all necessary quality and manufacturing management approaches at all Betagro’s factories nationwide so that the excellence of our agro industrial products is guaranteed of excellence, providing a strong foundation for our success today and tomorrow.” As part of the company’s more aggressive marketing strategy for 2009, it has allocated a budget of around Bt100 million to launch three new commercial feed products for pets, both livestock and aquatic animals. These include Okane for fish, Primo for dogs, and Rambo for fighting cocks. Narongchai pointed out that the Group considered the pet feed market had high potential for growth. “The demand for pet food, especially for fish, fighting cocks and dogs is increasing each year as a result of growing pet businesses in all segments nationwide.” “With premium quality gained through combination of strict materials sourcing and internationally accredited manufacturing, we believe our products undoubtedly meet the needs of pet lovers.” “These high-end brands will be available in January next year with first-year annual sales expected to top Bt140 million. Of this, sales of Primo dog feed products are projected to reach Bt60 million, followed by Okane fish feed products, Bt50 million, and Rambo fighting cock feed products, Bt30 million.” Apart from launching new products, product image of Betagro’s pet feed lines are being remodeled with newly designed packages, which will be available from January next year. “The new concept of our product packaging reflects our commitment to offer products of top quality and added value. New product labels will be more sophisticated and detail-oriented so that our customers are well informed about the product.” The customer relationship management part is also improved with the opening of www.betagrofeed.com which provides customers with comprehensive and updated information of the animal feed industry, new product launches, and alternative channel of communication for customers to send feedback and inquiries online to the company. “Betagro currently has 20% share in Thailand’s commercial animal feed market, representing about 65,000 tons per month, or 10% increase from 2007,” said Narongchai. “As a result of significant improvement in our production capacity, especially from a new animal feed manufacturing facility in Lamphun province, coupled with active investment and marketing activities despite slowing economy, we expect to see an achievable sales growth of 10% in the year 2009.” For more information Betagro Corporate Communications Division Arnon Jantarach 0 2833 8316 e-mail: [email protected] Kanitta Lunpa 0 2833 8317 e-mail: [email protected]
