ในโอกาสที่ Mrs. Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi เข้ารับตำแหน่งรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศอินโดนีเซียและเป็นสุภาพสตรีคนแรกที่ดำรงตำแหน่งดังกล่าว พลเอกธนะศักดิ์ ปฏิมาประกร รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดี ดังนี้

I have the honour to extend to you my warmest congratulations upon your appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the first ever lady in this distinguished position.

I believe that, with your long experience and broad interests in international affairs, Indonesia will continue its prominent roles in the international community, contributing greatly to the advancement of the ASEAN Community as well as to regional peace and prosperity.
