เนื่องในวันที่ ๑ ต.ค.. ๒๕๕๗ เป็นวัน Independence Day ของสาธารณรัฐปาเลา พลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี และพลเอกธนะศักดิ์ ปฏิมาประกร รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสดังกล่าว ดังนี้

On the occasion of the Independence Day, I wish to extend to Your Excellency and the people of the Republic of Palau our sincere congratulations and best wishes.
I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm my determination to enhance the friendship between our two countries and to further strengthen our bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interests. I believe there are more areas of cooperation we can work together for the benefit and prosperity of our two countries and peoples as well as the advancement of our relations both at bilateral and multilateral levels.
