ตามที่เวียดนามได้จัดการประชุมสมัชชาใหญ่พรรคคอมมิวนิสต์เวียดนาม ครั้งที่ ๑๒ ระหว่างวันที่ ๒๐ – ๒๘ มกราคม ๒๕๕๙ และได้มีการเลือกตั้งตำแหน่งบุคคลสำคัญนั้น พลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนายเหวียน ฝู จ่อง ซึ่งได้รับเลือกให้เป็นเลขาธิการพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์เวียดนามอีกสมัยหนึ่ง ขณะที่นายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนายฝ่าม บิ่งห์ มิงห์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของเวียดนาม ซึ่งได้รับเลือกให้เป็นสมาชิกกรมการเมือง พรรคคอมมิวนิสต์เวียดนาม ดังนี้
