ตามที่ได้เกิดเหตุพายุไต้ฝุ่นไห่เยี่ยน (Haiyan) พัดเข้าทางตอนกลางของประเทศฟิลิปปินส์จนส่งผลทำให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตจำนวนมาก ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงประธานาธิบดีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ ตามลำดับ ดังนี้

It is with profound sadness to learn of the massive loss of lives and colossal damages caused by the typhoon Haiyan that hit Central Philippines last week.
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, I would like to take this opportunity to extend to Your Excellency and, through you, our deepest sympathy and condolences to all Philippine friends who have lost property and loved ones in the aftermath of this calamity.
I wish to reassure you that Thailand totally shares this grief with the Philippines and stands ready to support the Philippines in bringing about the rapid recovery and return to normalcy.

I was deeply saddened and grieved to learn of the massive destruction in the Central Philippines wrought by the powerful typhoon Haiyan that claimed thousands of lives of our Philippine friends.
In this time of grief, I wish to express my profound condolences and deepest sympathy to you and, through you, to the bereaved families of the victims and those affected by this natural disaster.
Thailand stands ready to offer our assistance to our Philippine friends in this time of need.
