On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to you on being elected as the President of the French Republic. Your substantial victory and progressive direction are reflective of how the French people have placed their confidence in you to lead the country forward. I extend to you my best wishes for your success in this regard.
For 161 years, the Kingdom of Thailand and the French Republic have enjoyed close and friendly relations. Our long-standing ties have evolved into a “Strategic Partnership” based on common interests in a number of important areas.
